We don’t post roles.
We hire conversations.

Tell us what you’d build, where we’d find you today, and how to reach you. One of the founders reads it, and either replies with a real next step within the week, or with an honest no.

Why no listings

A small firm hires against the work, not against a requisition.

We’re a small firm by design. Three partners on the bench, a team of twelve behind them. At our scale, every hire reshapes the shape of the firm a little, so we’ve never been able to write a job description that’s honestly more specific than “we’ll know it when we read it.” Posting one anyway would be polite fiction.

The way we actually hire. Somebody writes to us. They describe a piece of work they’d want to own, a tax discipline they think we underweight, an engine module they want to build, an audience we haven’t spoken to yet, a problem in finance operations they’ve been thinking about. We read it. If the shape matches what we need, the next message is a working call. If the shape’s good but the timing isn’t, we say so, and we keep the thread open.

That conversation is the page below. We don’t want a resume in the first message, we want to understand the work first, the person second. The form has three prompts. None of them is “tell us about yourself.”

01 · The work

What you’d build.

The most important field. One paragraph on the specific work you’d want to own at TraCarta, not your career objective, not what you bring to the table. The piece of the firm you’d take on.

02 · The where

Where we’d find you today.

One sentence. Current role, current company, the work that occupies your day. A link or two if you have a portfolio, a thesis, a paper, a github. Not a resume.

03 · The how

How to reach you.

Email and a phone number, if you’re open to a call. We reply to every serious message, usually within the week.

Write to us

One paragraph on the work. The rest is housekeeping.

Your message goes to contact@tracarta.in. Hit send and it’s on its way. CV attached automatically if you’ve added one. No mail client to open, no extra steps.

The piece of TraCarta you’d want to own. Be specific. “I’d build the hotel-GST module because the airline engine’s patterns map cleanly” lands better than “I’m a strong product person.” Two paragraphs maximum.
Current role and company, in one sentence. Add a link or two if you have something to point at: portfolio, paper, repo, thesis. No need to attach a CV at this stage.
Not required. The “what you’d build” paragraph is the heart of this conversation. But if you have a CV that sharpens the picture, attach it here.
Ready. The file will travel with the message when you hit send. No mail-client gymnastics required.

One of the founders reads every message. Usually replies within the week.

What happens next

Three steps. No funnel.

Same approach as the rest of the firm, the person you start with is the person you’d work with.

01

A founder reads it.

One of the three partners. Same week, almost always. The reply has specifics in it, what landed, what we’d want to understand, whether the timing fits.

02

A working call.

Thirty to forty minutes. We walk you through what we’re actually working on. You walk us through what you’d take on. No HR screen, no behavioural questions, no panel.

03

A small piece of work.

Paid, real, scoped to a week or two. You see how we work. We see how you think. By the end of it, both sides have a real basis for the conversation to continue, or to close honestly.

Or just write to us directly.

If forms aren’t your thing, write to contact@tracarta.in with “careers” in the subject. The reply will be from the same person who would have read your form submission.

Read the firm first.

Most people who write to us have read the about page and the leaders page first. They land here knowing what the firm is and who’s on the bench, which makes the “what you’d build” paragraph land better.
