A short, honest accounting.
The TraCarta marketing website at tracarta.com is not an advertising platform. We set the minimum cookies needed for the site to work and to understand how it’s used in aggregate, nothing more. No third-party advertising, no cross-site tracking, no behavioural profiling. This document explains exactly what is set and how to control it.
01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store. On returning to the site, your browser sends the file back, which lets the site recognise your session or remember a preference. The term is also used loosely to cover similar technologies, local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. Where this policy says “cookies”, it means all of these.
02What we set
TraCarta sets two categories of cookie on the marketing website. Both are set by tracarta.com itself, not by third parties.
2.1Strictly necessary
These keep the site functioning, managing your session, remembering your interaction state (such as which legal section you’ve scrolled to), and protecting against cross-site request forgery on form submissions. Without them, basic site features break.
2.2No analytics
We do not run web analytics on tracarta.com. No first-party analytics cookie, no privacy-respecting alternatives like Plausible or Fathom, no aggregate visit counters. The marketing site is not measured for traffic shape, time on page, or click paths. If we ever change this, we will say so at the top of this document and update Section 4 to describe what is set.
03What we don’t
No analytics of any kind. No third-party advertising cookies. No retargeting pixels. No social-media tracking. No cross-site tracking identifiers. No fingerprinting beyond what is sent in normal HTTP requests. No data sharing with marketing partners.
We do not have advertising agreements that would require us to share visitor data. We do not use TraCarta visitors as audiences in any third-party ad system. We do not allow ad partners to attach pixels to our pages.
04How to control them
Because we set only strictly-necessary cookies and run no analytics, there is no cookie banner on tracarta.com, there is nothing to consent to that isn’t already required for the site to function.
- Use your browser’s privacy controls. All modern browsers let you block cookies, clear them, or use a private/incognito mode. Blocking ours will not prevent you from reading the site, you will only lose features that rely on the session, such as form submission protection.
- Use a tracking-blocking extension. uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, and similar tools have nothing to block on tracarta.com because we don’t set the categories they target. We do not attempt to evade these tools.
If we ever add a category of cookie that requires consent under applicable Indian law, we will introduce a consent mechanism at the same time. We do not currently use any such cookie.
05Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version number and effective date at the top of this page reflect the most recent change. Material changes, the addition of any cookie that meaningfully changes what data is collected or who it goes to, will be flagged on the site for at least thirty days following the change.
